Obviously, the pairing here is one-sided PhilxRya.
~~~
It was one of those nights where everything just felt right somehow. It was late in September, and the leaves had begun to turn yellow and orange and red and beautiful. Then again, that night, everything seemed beautiful to Rya.
Maybe it was just the fact that she was with Phil; maybe it was the general atmosphere. Either way, Rya was completely and utterly content. It was, she thought, a nice feeling.
That’s why, as she and Phil sat on the curb in front of their house, Rya turned to Phil and said, “Phil…I think I’m happy. Really happy.”
“Well, it is pretty nice out tonight,” Phil responded.
“No, it’s more than just that, though I do agree with you on that point. But it wouldn’t be as nice without you here. You make me happy, Phil. When I’m with you, I feel…different, somehow. Like I’ve really found someone who’ll always be there for me.” She rested her head on his shoulder. “I guess what I’m trying to say is that I love you.”
Phil smiled.
“I love you too, Rya. You’re like the little sister I never had.”
Rya looked up at him. “Sister?”
“Yeah.”
“That’s not what I wanted to hear…”
Phil stared at her, slightly puzzled. “Then what did you want to hear?”
Rya looked away.
“Nothing. It’s…it’s nothing. I’ll be fine.”
“Good.” Phil hugged her. “I’m gonna head back inside now. I’ll leave the door unlocked, okay?” And with that, he got up and went back into the house.
Rya sighed sadly. All of a sudden, things seemed less…perfect. The moon seemed dimmer, the air colder, the colors of the autumn leaves less vibrant.
There was no denying it.
She wasn’t happy.
You know my home address,
And you know my name.
We were friends once upon a time,
But this game
Is over.
You say you love my face, my hair,
My body and personality.
But do you really care?
Do you like the real me?
My face is hideous, my hair is a mess,
And I am a bitch.
And yet you see no flaws.
To you, I am a flawless goddess--
Beautiful and pure and perfect.
And so you claim that one day,
We'll be together.
Somehow, someway,
I'll "love" you too.
Dream on, creep.
They Said
She said, she said
"Get it over with"
Gasping as she bled on the concrete floor
Sent a bullet through her beautiful brain
She was dead, and I walked out the door
And I said
"Hey babe, wanna go out tonight?"
But he just cried and shook his head
They found him dead the next morning
From a bullet to his beautiful brain
Self-inflicted, they said
And then I knew why he died
Couldn't make things right
Again
And I said
"Hey world, goodbye, goodbye"
As I wrote a note explaining why I'd died
They found me dead the next morning
From a bullet to my beautiful brain
Self-inflicted, they said
And they all knew why I died
But it would be alright
They said
As
I
Lay
Dead...
